Same-Day Dental Appointments

We provide same-day visits for patients with urgent dental needs. Oftentimes, when it comes to dental trauma or another emergency, the sooner we can treat the concern the easier/more effective the treatment will be. Please leave our number 508-318-4477 in an easily accessible location so that you can get in touch with us right away if an emergency occurs!

The Root Canal Process

Root canal pain can make everyday tasks such as eating and talking difficult. Root canal therapy is a way to remedy your pain and remove the infection while preserving your natural tooth. Before we begin your procedure, the area around your tooth is numbed so the most you’ll feel is some slight pressure. We remove the infected pulp and clean out the inside of your tooth. After we remove the pulp, we seal the area with a filling or crown. The procedure usually doesn’t take very long and we will get you back to smiling in no time!

Emergency Dentistry FAQs

What are some common dental emergencies?

Wondering if your dental problem constitutes as an emergency? Here are some of the most common types of dental emergencies:

  • Chipped or Cracked Tooth
  • Broken Filling, Crown, Bridge, or Denture
  • Chronic Cold Sores
  • Permanent Tooth Knocked Out
  • Severe Toothache or Sore Gums
  • Abscessed Tooth

What can I do to manage pain before seeing a dentist?

If you have tooth pain, first try gently brushing and flossing around the tooth. This can help dislodge any particles that may be causing the discomfort. If it’s not debris causing the pain, you can use an over-the-counter pain medication to dull the pain and ice the area until you can get to our office.
